Shift Type: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) — includes clinic call as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $245 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient hematology and oncology care during scheduled clinic days
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and create individualized treatment plans
- Participate actively in tumor board discussions to guide multidisciplinary care
- Collaborate with RNs, medical assistants, social worker, dietitian, and nurse navigator to coordinate care
- Document clinical encounters and orders accurately in Cerner
- Manage infusion center patients and onsite CBC monitoring as appropriate
- Cover clinic call responsibilities when required to ensure continuity of care
- Support the practice during a recruitment gap and help maintain clinic continuity
Qualifications
- MD or DO with valid and unrestricted medical license in Michigan (or eligible to obtain)
- Board certified or board eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology
- Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Proven experience in outpatient hematology and oncology practice
- Comfortable participating in tumor board and multidisciplinary case reviews
- Clinical proficiency with Cerner or comparable EMR systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with support staff
Education
- MD or DO degree
- Board certified/board eligible in Hematology & Medical Oncology
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in hematology outpatient care
- Clinical expertise in oncology outpatient care
- Experience managing infusion patients and outpatient chemotherapy flows
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record workflows
- Ability to manage 15–20 outpatient visits per day in a busy clinic
- Skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
- Comfort with clinic call responsibilities and timely clinical decision-making
