Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Assess and monitor patient condition using clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Perform and interpret cardiac monitoring and EKG assessments as needed
• Administer treatments and medications safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Participate in unit-based safety and quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Successful completion of VHC EKG exam and license/certificate verification
• Experience in ICU or critical care highly preferred
• Must meet pre-employment health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing/questionnaire, VHC drug screen, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, fit testing, varicella, Tdap, and health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing fundamentals
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and EKG recognition
• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Clear communication and teamwork with physicians and multidisciplinary team
