Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living to preserve dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Document patient information clearly and timely in the electronic chart to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Willingness to consent to background and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living support and safe patient handling
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Knowledgeable about infection prevention and standard safety procedures
• Comfortable with electronic documentation and basic charting
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
