Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering high-quality patient care and therapeutic treatments
• Implement treatment plans and therapy programs as directed by the supervising PT and per physician orders
• Document patient progress, treatments, and communication clearly and promptly
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Monitor patient response to interventions and report changes to the Physical Therapist
• Provide patient and caregiver education to support safe home programs and continuity of care
• Collaborate with the PT to help optimize patient outcomes and functional independence

Qualifications

• BLS certification (verified)
• License/Certificate Verification required (active PTA license per state requirements)
• Willingness to function under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and follow physician orders
• Completion of employer health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, fit testing, and drug screening as listed
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable with treatment planning and hands-on patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and hands-on therapeutic treatment techniques
• Treatment planning and program implementation
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and care teams
• Ability to follow physician and Physical Therapist orders reliably
• Familiarity with safety, infection control, and fit-testing procedures
