Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and therapy
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
• Educate patients and caregivers with practical strategies to support progress
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (required)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills
• Active professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain if required

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (required)
• ASHA-accredited program completion preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of articulation, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapy techniques and outcome measures
• Proficient documentation and electronic medical record usage
• Ability to adapt therapy to individual needs and cultural backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and patient education
