Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret screening and diagnostic mammography with attention to quality and patient safety
- Perform stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and breast localization procedures
- Read breast ultrasound studies and correlate imaging across modalities
- Document studies accurately and efficiently using Epic and PowerScribe and manage images in PACS
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, pathologists and technologists to ensure coordinated patient care
- Communicate findings clearly and compassionately to patients and referrers
- Contribute to a positive team culture and support technologist and staff workflows
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree)
- Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging preferred or equivalent focused experience
- Proven experience performing stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and localization procedures
- Active or eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
- Comfortable using Epic, PowerScribe and PACS in daily reporting
- Willingness and ability to complete credentialing (estimated 90–120 days)
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent); Fellowship in Breast Imaging preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of mammography and breast ultrasound interpretation
- Hands-on skill with stereotactic biopsy and ultrasound-guided biopsy techniques
- Familiarity with breast localization procedures and peri-procedural coordination
- Proficiency with Epic, PowerScribe and PACS workflows
- Strong patient communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to imaging quality and safety
