Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition and deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-focused care plans
- Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition to providers promptly
- Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge needs, and health maintenance
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and uphold patient safety and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico
- Minimum clinical experience in acute or long-term care settings preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus depending on unit
- Ability to provide safe, high-quality care during evening shifts
- Local candidates only (per job note) — must be able to commute to Casa Del Sol Center
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Proficiency with electronic health records and bedside documentation
- Time management and prioritization during a busy shift
- Compassionate patient-centered care and family communication
