Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that makes a real difference every day
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Document care and patient status clearly and promptly in the chart
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate treatment plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes and safety
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — local Maine licensure expected for a local-only role
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification at a minimum
- Clinical experience as an RN — demonstrating strong assessment and medication administration skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced care setting
- Strong communication skills for patient and team interactions
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — program completion required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and prioritization
- Accurate medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with standard clinical procedures and safety protocols
- Comfortable working within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Basic EMR/charting proficiency and organized record-keeping
