Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient status, and report changes
- Administer medications and treatments as permitted by facility policy
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart
- Support RN team members with patient care planning and handoffs
- Follow infection control procedures and participate in safety initiatives
- Assist with patient mobility, activities of daily living, and comfort measures
- Participate in required health screenings and maintain credential currency
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — active license required (ability to verify license)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to complete required health screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing, drug screen, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, varicella, Tdap, fit test, and health statement
- Demonstrated clinical judgment, strong communication, and teamwork
- Previous LPN experience preferred but new grads from accredited programs may be considered
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid foundation in bedside nursing care and patient assessment
- Familiarity with basic medication administration and documentation
- Comfort using electronic health records and completing accurate charting
- Strong infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
- Good interpersonal skills for patient, family, and multidisciplinary team interaction
- Ability to follow established care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
