Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, aides, and therapists to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life during every shift
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning as needed
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — ready to practice
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
- Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts on a weekend schedule (Fri–Sun)
- Local candidates preferred due to LOCAL ONLY schedule
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (PN/LPN) program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and basic nursing skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
- Empathy, patience, and a resident-centered approach to care
