Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents following care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor resident condition, report changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and resident responses in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident wellbeing
• Advocate for residents and engage families with clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing — New Mexico licensure required or compact eligibility
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Recent clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Local candidates only (this is a local assignment)

Education

• Completed LPN program (diploma or certificate) and active LPN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and medication administration
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
• Skilled in resident assessment, wound care basics, and ADL assistance
• Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking during 12+ hour shifts
• Teamwork mindset and clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to follow facility protocols and adapt to resident-centered care plans
