Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following facility policies and standards
• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and disease management
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed
• Support unit operations during shift changes and contribute to a positive clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (RN preferred)
• Active/state licensure for New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — obtain or current is preferred
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred; travel experience a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) or accredited LPN program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV management
• Electronic medical record charting and documentation
• Infection control and safety best practices
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability to new environments and rapid onboarding as a travel clinician
