Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients across the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum continuum using the nursing process
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans to support safe patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education, ensuring readiness and understanding of care plans
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record in line with regulatory standards
• Delegate and supervise caregivers effectively, coordinating care across the team
• Serve as Charge Nurse when needed — coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers and staffing
• Apply critical thinking and crisis management skills to rapidly changing clinical situations
• Maintain safety standards including infection control, equipment competency, and safe patient handling

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN Licensure required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) — AHA or equivalent — required within 30 days of hire
• Minimum one year of RN experience preferred; acute care nursing experience preferred
• Experience or competency in LDRP or specialty nursing departments is a plus
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the role (8–12 hour shifts, patient handling with assistance)
• Strong delegation, supervision and documentation skills

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
