Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe positioning to reduce fall risk
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Support mealtime assistance and monitor intake as directed
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a safe environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team to promote resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, resident-focused attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (assistance with transfers, standing, walking)

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with basic charting and electronic health record entries
• Strong observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Time management and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
