Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the care team
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
- Document care accurately and promptly in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver great care
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
- Able to take and accurately record vital signs and patient observations
- Basic understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Familiarity with patient documentation and charting practices
- Good teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
