Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of CT procedures, both invasive and non-invasive, with accuracy and care
- Apply prescribed ionizing radiation procedures and exercise independent judgment to produce diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and informed consent throughout imaging procedures
- Maintain clear, accurate patient and imaging documentation in line with facility policies
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the clinical team to support timely patient care
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and departmental protocols
- Assume additional designated responsibilities and float to other units as needed
Qualifications
- Active ARRT certification (required)
- Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) (required)
- Active Ohio Radiologic Technologist license (must be current/active)
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience (required)
- Siemens CT experience highly preferred
- Current work history and up-to-date skills checklist relevant to CT (within last 12 months) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT procedures and cross-sectional anatomy
- Familiarity with ionizing radiation principles and safety practices
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred
- Proficient patient positioning, image acquisition, and quality control
- Comfortable using PACS and electronic patient records
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Adaptability to float to other units and handle changing clinical needs
