Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to keep patients safe and stable
• Provide high-quality patient care including assessments, treatments, and documentation in the EMR
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Support unit workflow and mentor less-experienced staff to promote a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be eligible to practice in the assignment state)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as noted in the job posting)
• Telemetry experience required, comfortable working with cardiac monitoring and related equipment
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with an outgoing, team-oriented personality

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Patient assessment and bedside care for medical-surgical/telemetry populations
• Proficient use of EMR for accurate documentation
• Familiarity with lifts, gait belts, wheelchairs and other mobility equipment
• Effective communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
