Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer, prepare and accurately record prescribed medications, ensuring patient safety at every step
• Start IVs and insert catheters with skill and compassion to support patient comfort and care
• Perform wound care and dressing changes, monitoring healing and documenting progress
• Adjust and interpret readings from specialized medical equipment and record measurements
• Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical status to detect changes early
• Promptly identify and report adverse reactions to medications and escalate concerns as needed
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license or valid Compact RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) nursing experience (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required)
• Recent travel nursing experience preferred (recent traveler experience noted as a plus)
• Two supervisory references completed within the last two years
• Current, accurate work history and up-to-date skills checklist pertinent to Med-Surg

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration best practices and accurate documentation
• IV starts and peripheral access management
• Catheter insertion and maintenance
• Wound care and dressing change techniques
• Patient monitoring and vital-sign trending
• Comfortable with specialized medical equipment and interpreting outputs
• Timely adverse reaction recognition and reporting
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
