Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policies
- Perform and document thorough patient assessments, reporting changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
- Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Educate residents and families about care plans and interventions in a clear, respectful way
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (able to practice as Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
- Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Wound care basics and dressing changes
- Resident assessment, vital signs, and documentation
- Familiarity with long-term care workflows and regulatory expectations
- Time management and prioritization in a busy care environment
- Patient- and family-centered communication skills
