Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians during cardiac catheterization procedures and invasive cardiology cases
• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment with attention to safety and sterility
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient comfort
• Set up and maintain a sterile field and manage procedural supplies efficiently
• Collaborate closely with RNs, RCIS, physicians, and the cath lab team to deliver seamless care
• Document procedures and interventions accurately in the chart and assist with post-procedure care
• Follow ACLS and BLS protocols and apply critical care knowledge when needed

Qualifications

• Required: ACLS and BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience; ICU or Cath Lab experience preferred
• Comfortable with cath lab procedures such as LHC, RHC, PPM insertion, stress testing, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and port insertion
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work 4-5 days per week
• Demonstrated ability to operate cath lab technology and follow unit policies

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization and cath lab workflows
• Familiarity with invasive monitoring and hemodynamic assessment
• Competence in sterile technique and procedural prep
• Ability to monitor and interpret basic hemodynamic and cardiac telemetry data
• Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Comfort with busy procedural environments and rapid patient transitions
