Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately to ensure patient safety
• Provide clinical pharmacy support and collaborate with the care team on medication therapy
• Monitor drug therapies and identify opportunities to optimize treatment
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, federal and state regulations
• Perform medication order review and clinical checks for appropriate dosing and interactions
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
• Maintain accurate medication records and manage inventory for reliable supply

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in Florida or eligibility to obtain licensure quickly
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy practice experience (as stated in the posting)
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows and medication distribution systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

• PharmD preferred; BS in Pharmacy accepted where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical pharmacology and medication safety principles
• Hospital pharmacy operations and medication distribution
• Electronic health records and pharmacy information systems
• Sterile and non-sterile compounding knowledge (if applicable)
• Inventory management and controlled substance handling
• Clear communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
