Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images with precision
- Prepare patients for procedures with empathy, clear instructions, and safety checks
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support diagnoses
- Verify patient identity and document procedures accurately in the record
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any operational issues promptly
- Prioritize patient comfort and privacy while delivering efficient care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CT/Radiology (as listed in the job posting)
- Experience working in a hospital radiology setting or similar allied health environment
- Current state radiologic technologist licensure (per state requirements) and ARRT registration preferred
- Strong patient communication skills and ability to work independently during shift coverage
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain promptly
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or CT program (or equivalent clinical training)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in CT imaging techniques, cross-sectional anatomy, and protocol selection
- Knowledge of radiation safety and dose optimization best practices
- Skilled in patient positioning, contrast administration basics, and emergent imaging
- Comfortable with PACS/EMR systems and accurate documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot imaging artifacts
