Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; scheduling options: straight nights or 50/50 (mix of days and nights); includes approximately 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care nursing for high-acuity ICU patients, ensuring safety and best outcomes
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support with confidence
- Administer and titrate vasopressors and other high-risk infusions while monitoring hemodynamics
- Perform and manage arterial lines, central line care, and chest tube maintenance
- Assist with or manage intubations and rapid sequence intubations when needed
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Serve as a calm, decisive presence during emergencies and high-stress situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred; 1 year of very strong experience may be considered
- Current ACLS certification required
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, vasopressors, arterial and central line care
- Comfortable with high-acuity procedures such as intubation and chest tube care
- Experience using EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
- Outgoing, team-player attitude and flexibility to float to PCU or act as a sitter as needed
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and weaning strategies
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Familiarity with CRRT and IABP care
- Bronchoscopy and chest tube post-procedure care
- Post-op open heart and high-acuity cardiac patient knowledge
- Strong critical thinking, triage, and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
