Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, nights (12.5-hour overnight), schedule varies with weekends as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and compassionately to prioritize care
- Deliver high-quality nursing interventions including medication administration and wound care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR to maintain continuity
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
- Maintain unit readiness, ensure equipment availability, and follow safety protocols
- Respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment and urgency
- Support a positive team environment by communicating clearly and professionally
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to work in California or via compact privileges)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ER) nursing experience
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI (required)
- Proven ability to manage high-acuity patients and maintain composure in fast-paced settings
- Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to changing ED census and acuity
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing clinical skills including triage and rapid assessment
- Experience with EMR systems (MEDITECH knowledge a plus)
- Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Clear, compassionate patient and family communication skills
- Familiarity with unit policies, infection control, and patient safety practices
- Teamwork mindset and ability to collaborate across disciplines
