Shift Type: Saturday, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (overnight); includes 4-5 on-call days per month

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams using established protocols to produce diagnostic images
- Screen and prepare patients, explaining procedures clearly to ensure comfort and safety
- Operate MRI consoles, coils and related equipment while following safety guidelines
- Monitor patient condition during scans and respond promptly to any concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS/RIS and communicate findings to the radiology team
- Follow MRI safety protocols including screening for implants and contraindications
- Participate in the on-call rotation and support department needs during overnight coverage
Qualifications
- ARRT certification in MRI preferred or registry-eligible candidates considered
- Current state radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain Florida licensure
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtained upon hire
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and participating in on-call coverage
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
Education
- Completion of an accredited MRI program or Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
- Additional MRI certification (ARRT-MR) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI protocols, cross-sectional anatomy and imaging principles
- Proficient patient positioning and use of coils for optimal imaging
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS and electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and bedside manner for diverse patient populations
- Ability to troubleshoot common scanner issues and perform basic equipment checks
- Commitment to safety practices including screening and radiofrequency safety
