Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in the Emergency Department
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for acute and critical patients
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions, including IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care and disposition
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes promptly and thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and TNCC preferred
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred for night shifts
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
• Calm, decisive critical-thinking and prioritization in high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ED environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
