Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during the night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor residents' clinical status, document changes, and escalate concerns
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
- Perform admissions, discharges, and shift nursing reports with attention to detail
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control, and documentation standards
- Support residents and families with education and empathetic communication
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN or RN license (Massachusetts or compact status where applicable)
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing is a plus
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently during night shifts
- Valid immunizations and background checks as required by the facility
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, certificate, or associate degree as applicable)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and observation skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Comfortable with electronic health records and computerized charting
- Good communication and teamwork with nursing assistants and clinical staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
