Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray examinations while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Operate and troubleshoot CT and radiography equipment following manufacturer and facility guidelines
• Position patients accurately and employ appropriate imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure timely imaging and clear communication of results
• Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation in PACS and electronic medical records
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control protocols at all times
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing CT and X-ray exams (experience with both modalities required)
• State radiologic technologist license or equivalent (must be valid for Illinois or eligible for Illinois licensure)
• ARRT registration in Radiography or CT preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages
• Ability to work independently in a small critical access hospital setting

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiography program graduate, or equivalent education

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of CT and digital radiography equipment and safety procedures
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM workflows, and electronic medical record systems
• Strong patient positioning and anatomy knowledge for diagnostic imaging
• Good clinical judgment, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Ability to follow protocols and adapt to a smaller hospital environment
