Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor vital signs and communicate changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support residents with mobility, feeding, and personal hygiene while promoting dignity
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and interventions
- Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies to protect patients and teammates
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA preferred) required
- Active state nursing assistant credentials or eligibility to obtain within required timeframes
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
- Minimum facility experience as a CNA preferred; travel experience a plus
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- State-certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of patient safety and infection control practices
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs, mobility support, and safe transfer techniques
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Reliable documentation skills and basic charting familiarity
- Time management and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
