Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Lanham, Maryland
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift; specific days not specified in posting)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and safety
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with therapists and nurses to assist with resident rehab goals
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic geriatric care principles and familiarity with ADLs
- Comfortable with safe patient transfer and mobility assistance
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection control and patient safety awareness
- Teamwork, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
