Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift; specific days not provided)

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation to promote independence
- Take and record vital signs, observe changes, and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
- Document resident care accurately and maintain clear, timely notes
- Support mealtimes and feeding assistance as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
- Engage residents in social interaction and meaningful activities to enhance quality of life
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification — required
- Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfort working with older adults and a heart for person-centered care
- Ability to pass standard pre-employment screenings (background check, TB test, drug screen)
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans and directions
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved GNA program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
- Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and timely reporting of changes
- Good charting practices and attention to detail
- Infection control, safe patient handling, and fall prevention awareness
- Teamwork, empathy, time management, and strong interpersonal skills
