Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology
• Assess, monitor and manage patients before, during and after radiologic and interventional procedures
• Administer medications and manage patient responses in accordance with established protocols
• Lead and contribute to development of clinical protocols, policies and procedures for radiological interventions
• Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies that arise during imaging or procedural care
• Coordinate total nursing care and collaborate with ancillary staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Deliver patient and family teaching tailored to each individual’s needs and informed consent requirements
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic EMR to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile) — required
• New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate (must be uploaded for traveler submissions)
• Minimum 2+ years of current experience in Critical Care, ICU, ER or PACU — required
• Epic EMR experience — required
• Active American Heart Association BLS — required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS — required
• Own reliable vehicle for this assignment — strongly required
• Interventional Radiology or Conscious/Moderate Sedation experience — preferred
• Previous travel experience — preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and clinical judgment specific to radiology and interventional procedures
• Patient monitoring and emergency response during imaging and procedures
• Drug administration and sedation monitoring
• Development and application of clinical protocols and policies
• Excellent communication and patient teaching skills
• Leadership and teamwork in a fast-paced diagnostic/special procedures environment
• Hands-on familiarity with computed tomography (CT), fluoroscopy, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography and MRI
• Comfort with Epic EMR for documentation and order management
