Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients during the evening and overnight hours
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and document clinical changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed in accordance with facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies calmly and competently during the shift
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery and well-being

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — active and in good standing
• Compact or New Mexico state nursing license as required by facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (recommended to have on start)
• Clinical experience in acute care or similar setting preferred
• Professional communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN diploma/ADN/BSN as applicable)
• State licensure required prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills for overnight patient care
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic charting practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during busy shifts
• Comfort working independently and escalating concerns when needed
