Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living with dignity
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and feeding as needed
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Document care provided and observations accurately and timely
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment for residents
- Engage residents with patience and respect to promote comfort and well-being
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and any facility-required screenings
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of geriatric care principles and dignity-driven assistance
- Safe patient handling and mobility support
- Infection control and hygiene best practices
- Clear, accurate documentation and basic charting familiarity
- Teamwork, communication, and the ability to follow care plans
