Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, treating each individual with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report any changes to nursing staff to ensure timely care
- Document care provided and observations accurately in the resident record to support continuity of care
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care and meaningful activities
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred but not strictly required
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and geriatric needs
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Good documentation and observation skills
- Ability to work effectively on a team and follow care plans
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
