Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening / 2nd shift). Specific days to be confirmed with hiring team.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Follow individualized care plans and document care accurately and timely
- Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality resident care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification required
- Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
- Basic patient care skills: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Good communication, teamwork, and observational skills
