Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: Days to be determined, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and grooming
- Help with safe transfers and mobility, promoting comfort and fall prevention
- Monitor resident condition and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Document care activities accurately in resident charts and care plans
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure hydration needs are met
- Work closely with nurses, therapists and family members to coordinate care
- Help maintain a clean, safe and respectful living environment
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Current immunizations and TB testing per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong communication skills and a patient, caring attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for resident care per facility guidelines
Education
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an approved GNA program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of eldercare best practices and respect for resident rights
- Familiarity with ADLs, infection control and safe transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Good observation skills and ability to report changes clearly
- Teamwork, time management and a positive bedside manner
