Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to keep residents comfortable and secure
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help with meal service and ensure dietary needs and preferences are respected
• Document care activities clearly and accurately in resident records
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• Comfortable working with older adults; experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
• Physical ability to assist with transfers and perform hands-on resident care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing ADL support and respectful personal care
• Familiarity with infection control and proper PPE use
• Ability to take and record basic vital signs accurately
• Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Team-oriented mindset and solid time-management skills
• Comfortable documenting care in electronic or paper charting systems
