Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams and general radiography (x-ray) with attention to patient safety and image accuracy
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and document appropriately
• Start peripheral IVs when needed for contrast-enhanced studies
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS and multimodal imaging equipment (GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba)
• Apply radiation safety principles and follow isolation precautions for diverse patient populations
• Assist with and perform advanced procedures as required, including vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, drainage and brain perfusion studies
• Chart accurately in Epic and communicate findings and concerns to the care team
• Provide compassionate care to patients across all age groups — from pediatrics to geriatrics

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of radiologic/CT experience (2YR/1ST TIMERS OK)
• Required experience in inpatient and/or outpatient imaging settings
• ARRT (CT and/or Radiography) and BLS preferred
• Demonstrated experience with CT and general radiography (x-ray) procedures
• Comfortable with contrast media preparation/administration and starting peripheral IVs
• Familiarity with PACS, Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR), and Epic charting preferred
• Able to work the specified block schedule (Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM) and perform x-rays in addition to CT exams

• Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and post-processing
• Preparation and administration of contrast media
• Peripheral IV insertion for contrast studies
• Radiation safety and isolation precautions
• Special procedures knowledge: vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, brain perfusion
• Experience with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens or Toshiba imaging equipment
• Charting and documentation in Epic
