Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Accurately document care, vitals, and resident interactions
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents
- Collaborate with team members and communicate with families to promote continuity of care
Qualifications
- GNA certification required (class listed as GNA)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on elder care and resident dignity
- Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and basic physical care tasks
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and observation
- Team-oriented mindset and reliability during shift work
