Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing team
• Assist with meal service and feeding, ensuring safety and dignity at every meal
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families, promoting comfort and well‑being

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required or equivalent state certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to work 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts reliably
• Compassionate bedside manner and experience working with older adult populations
• Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and communicate with the care team
• Pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident-centered care skills and an understanding of geriatric needs
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, safe transfers, feeding assistance
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nursing staff
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety standards
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shift routines
• Empathy, patience, and respect for resident dignity and independence
