Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent peri-operative care for surgical patients under RN direction, ensuring safety and comfort
• Prepare and maintain the sterile environment before patient arrival using meticulous sterile technique
• Assist the RN in developing and executing the plan of care for each surgical patient
• Support pre-op teaching and patient education so patients feel informed and calm
• Assist throughout procedures including Ortho Totals, Neuro Spine, and daVinci Robotic cases with competence and confidence
• Deliver attentive recovery care to help patients transition safely from surgery to recovery
• Follow and promote patient and employee safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• 2+ years of surgical experience (required)
• At least 1 year of previous travel experience (required)
• Competent in Ortho Totals and Neuro Spine (required)
• Experience with daVinci Robotic surgery (required)
• NBSTSA certification (required) — please have documentation ready
• BLS certification (required)
• Ability to orient quickly and hit the ground running in a fast-paced OR environment
