Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality bedside care to patients overnight
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and document patient status, changes, and interventions during the night
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Perform admissions, discharges, and handoffs clearly and professionally
• Maintain a safe environment and uphold infection control standards
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to address concerns and provide education

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) — as indicated in the order
• Relevant clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing patient care during nighttime hours
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or Nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
• Safe medication administration and documentation
• Accurate charting and effective handoffs
• Patient safety, infection control, and basic emergency response
• Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
