Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care across labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) settings
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using C-EFM and intervene promptly when indicated
• Perform neonatal resuscitation per NRP guidelines when needed and coordinate newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives and newborn teams to create individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and families through labor, delivery and early postpartum
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and follow ACLS/BLS protocols as appropriate
• Participate in unit quality initiatives and maintain competency via the Trinity Skills Checklist

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP and C-EFM certifications (must be active and current)
• Demonstrated competence or experience in LDRP / Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby care
• Completion of facility-required Trinity Skills Checklist prior to or during onboarding
• Up-to-date health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Fit test, physical/health statement
• Negative Trinity 10-panel drug screen and 2-step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot) as required
• Ability to work a 12-hour night schedule and participate in weekend rotations (every third weekend)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong maternal and newborn assessment skills
• Proficient use and interpretation of continuous electronic fetal monitoring (C-EFM)
• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn stabilization (NRP)
• Sound clinical judgment in obstetric emergencies and escalation pathways
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
• Accurate clinical documentation and teamwork in high-acuity scenarios
