Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate during orthopedic operative cases, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety
• Provide thorough pre-operative care and patient preparation prior to surgery
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field throughout procedures
• Coordinate closely with surgeons, scrub techs, anesthesia, and perioperative staff
• Document perioperative care, patient status, and intraoperative events accurately
• Advocate for the patient and troubleshoot issues to support optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• R.N. designation with perioperative/OR experience (R.N. Circulator experience indicated)
• Experience supporting orthopedic surgery cases
• Comfortable with pre-operative patient care and intraoperative circulation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in the surgical setting

Education

• Registered Nurse (R.N.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room (OR) nursing workflows and sterile technique
• Orthopedic instruments, implants, and case flow
• Pre-operative assessment and patient positioning for ortho cases
• Effective communication with surgical team members and perioperative staff
