Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered ICU nursing care with clinical confidence and compassion
• Assess, monitor, and document critical patient status and intervene quickly when changes occur
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
• Administer medications, manage advanced life support devices, and follow ICU protocols meticulously
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and transitions of care with clarity and empathy
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and contribute practical ideas to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license — able to practice in Hawaii or meet facility licensure requirements
• Minimum ICU experience preferred (exact years/levels to be discussed during screening)
• BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications highly desirable
• Comfort with advanced monitoring, ventilators, vasoactive drips, and critical care documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and credentialing checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) principles
• Ventilator management and respiratory support familiarity
• Medication administration in the ICU setting, including vasoactive agents
• Electronic medical record documentation and handoff communication
• Patient- and family-centered education and support
