Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Continuously monitor and assess patient status, intervening promptly when changes occur
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Operate and manage advanced ICU equipment, including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, explaining care and progress
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility for licensure
• Critical care (ICU) experience preferred; prior ICU assignments or specialty training a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive infusions, and complex patient care
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in critical care assessment and interventions
• Skilled in ventilator management and respiratory support
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Able to triage, prioritize, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Comfortable with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
