Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and ensuring resident comfort during meals
• Perform routine documentation in resident charts and communicate observations clearly
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Help with transfers and use safe patient handling techniques to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing (PA preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate care and follow care plans
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Pass required background checks and any facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Clear documentation and communication with the care team
• Gentle mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
