Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and stabilize patients in a fast-paced emergency setting with confidence
• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care — from critical interventions to patient education
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and the ED team to deliver seamless care
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Support families with clear communication and compassionate guidance during stressful times

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or ability to obtain licensure promptly
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Prior Emergency Department/ER experience preferred (helpful but not always required)
• Comfort and competence with 12.5-hour shift work and fluctuating ED volume
• Strong assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and rapid triage skills
• IV insertion, medication administration and wound care
• Familiarity with trauma protocols and emergency procedures
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to de-escalate stressful situations and provide patient-centered communication
• Basic familiarity with telemetry and monitoring equipment
