Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing team with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility needs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Document patient care activities clearly in the medical record
- Communicate observations and changes in patient condition to the RN/LPN
- Support patient dignity, comfort, and emotional needs with kindness and respect
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (must be valid for the state of Georgia)
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and immunization screenings
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and able to handle 12.5-hour shift demands
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection prevention practices and patient safety
- Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and transfers
- Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
- Collaborative communication with nursing staff and other clinical team members
